My build started 2 years ago. I never had a goal in mind when I first started so went back and forth trying different set ups. I started with a base model 2DR Gecko JK with air and an auto trans.

It went into the shop the night I picked it up. I installed a rock krawler 2.5" max travel, 37s, and a front bumper that I had from my 4dr

The first wheeling trip I was not happy with the ride of the Rock Krawler springs in the 2dr. They were really nice in the 4dr.

I sold the RK springs and went with 18/59 springs the ride was about the same with the bilstein shocks.

I then sold the bilstein shocks. Measured out the longest shocks I could run and bought a cheap set to see how it would perform they are 12.8" travel. I also ordered currie upper and lower spring retainers, bump stops, nemesis front shock relocation brackets

There was a parade local and they asked if I wanted to be in it. So I called my buddy and asked if I could borrow his 40s that was a mistake cause all I wanted was 40s after that. I added a couple things to clear the tires 2" front spacers to level it out, 1.25" body lift, and bump stops.
I plasti dipped the grill orange because it was a St Patrick's day parade

While I had the tires I went to my other buddy's who has a nice piece of property. Remember in these pictures I'm still running 18/59 springs.

Over the last year I have added a rock hard engine skid, bestop trek top, synthetic rope to the winch, poison spyder BFH bumper, and raceline beadlocks, 3.5" AEV springs, and traded my full doors for half doors. O yeah and the 40s that everyone had such a hard on over.

Back in August I added a bunch of goodies. Rock hard sport cage painted to match. Picked up a rubicon dana 44 front and added a truss, sleeves, c-gussets, chromoly shafts, geared it to 5:13, riddler diff cover, Rock krawler lower control arm mounts, new ball joints. The rear I added a eaton e - locker and 5:13s. Also in the rear is a Rock Krawler long arm with a 3" stretch.

This is one week before I brought it into the shop.

Awesome Kyle! Glad you got a thread started up.

I've seen his Gecko jk in person and it's so sick.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for sure.

Cant wait to see this in person, very curious about the stretch and how I can pull it off.

Hinrichs can't wait till next year to do some more rausch trips to meet all you guys local. Any questions about the stretch let me know. I also had the stock drive shaft lengthened until I upgrade.

Future mods include a Rock Krawler 3 link front with 2" to 3" stretch, dana 60 axles and coilovers. I have the axles and some parts just need to build them.
