Hood circle

Anyone else's hood do this? I'm not worried about it. Just think it's odd. There's a circular spot that is hotter than the rest of the hood. When it snows, it's the first spot that melts. Here you can see that after driving last night, this morning's frost wouldn't cover it.
Again, not worried, just curious if anyone else's does this.

Well, your PCM is located in that area and I'm sure it puts off heat. Funny thing to notice.

okay, here's my theory. If your JK has the hood pad, it has a cut out for the emissions sticker in about the spot where the circle is. This would allow engine compartment heat to keep this part of the hood very toasty. Just my :twocents:
