Hunter Lake Trail Report

Caught the Bug
Coming in from the Caughlin Ranch Side, if you are ok with lots of pinstripes, you will arrive at one of three obstacles about 2000 ft before arriving at Hunter Lake. The top two obstacles are steep / deep snow, but there are anchors so you can winch up the hill. The southern most obstacle is blown over Aspen Trees, not sure what is past there as I didn't look. If you are in the Reno area and up for a challenge, this is a good one right now before that snow melts. You can be the first group to reach Hunter Lake this year without tracked vehicle or snow mobile. Count me in if you decide to go. Along the way, there are some awesome views of Reno and various wilderness areas.

I'm assuming this is OK to post as Hunter Lake Trail is known by almost everyone in the area and not a secret at all and I didn't actually mention anyy GPS coords. I will delete thread if it's not ok to post.
