Caught the Bug
Well it is official. I am retiring from the Air Force after 25 years of Active Duty Service. It has been a great life, spent the majority of my time overseas (the last 17 years straight to be exact). It has provided my 3 sons a future, all three are in the military. I have two boys in the Marines, one is stationed in 29 Palms and the other at the White House on the immediate response team for the President. My youngest son is a Load Master in the US Air Force, stationed at Little Rock, Arkansas.
I will be moving to Helena, Montana. I got a job with the VA as a Human Resource Specialist (GS-11). It is going to be a very weird transition for me. I have spent over half my life in the military, non-stop deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and other non-disclosed locations. Moving every two to three years. At least I still get to serve my Brothers in Arms.
