So many choices. Many have neat features, but all add weight over the plastic stock OEM.

As a pilot and sailor, I like to limit extra weight whenever possible.

Then I stumbled upon Eddie's Warn Winch plate, utilitarian setup. And I love it!

Wife ... maybe not so much.

Though, I may need to drill some holes for a front "bumper" KC light setup I have planned.

There are some good aluminum options out there. Also, stamped steel will give you good performance and will be a lot lighter in weight.

Pilot and retired airplane engineer here. I went with the aluminum RockHard Patriot. It was something like 40 lbs IIRC.

The AEV stamped steel one seems pretty good. Looks like a bunch of crappy stamped parts when going together but the end result seems good.

I loved the warn winch bracket set up too, but due to inspection laws where I live I ended up just ordering a winch bumper. It showed up today so we'll see how it goes this weekend.
