My WJ Build

Caught the Bug
Howdy guys! This is my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7 Quadra-Drive. I just thought I would do a simple build of this WJ. I never did one for my JK. I've always like these. I looked all over for a 4.0 and everyone I found was just in sad shape. I came across this one here went and looked at it. It is very clean underneath. A few dings. Rear bumper is cracked on passenger rear. Really did not want to deal with all the electronics it is equipped with. Some of the pros I like is the power of the V8, the four-wheel drive system, heated seats (my pup likes those), sunroof, four doors. The weather interior is really nice it's like a dark agate but just due to it being an old vehicle there are some cracks and some tears mainly in the driver's side. I take pictures of it but it looks like a little dirty. When I bought it it had 145,000 mi on it little more higher than I wanted but due to the shape I was pretty happy with it.

So my options right now after buying several sets of JK And JL Wheels I've decided on the basic black steel wheels. All five Wheels came with Bridgestone dueler 245 75 17s. Ill run that with my lift until I get larger tires. I've got a Zone 4" lift with Core 4x4 lower arms front and rear, double cardan front driveshaft, fender light brackets, and an HK Kratos tire carrier for now.

Down the road will be bumpers, winch...

Make sure you mosey over to the wave section and say hi! :cheesy:

Where the hell does it attach? Is that the cross bar on the tailgate below the window? How annoying is it to open the hatch now

Do not use the hatch....I never did. Heck no different than a tire carrier on the back of a Jeep with a large tire.

I have been doing some maintenance with this pig. Gotta expect that on a 20 year old rig. Did the blend door and blower motor resistor. Apparently, it's a $1500 fix at the dealership, but you access behind the glove box instead of ripping out the dash. Part was under $90. Heats working awesome.197420.jpeg
