I am in Jacksonville. Haven't made my way down there yet. Any good trails that would make a trip worth it?

I usually go to uwharrie it's about an hour away but there are some nice muddy trails and hill climes around the fort Bragg area some say it's off limits but we have been going out there for about 4 years and no sign of law enforcement.

Planning on a trip to Uwharrie (3.5 hrs away from here) in August. It'll be my first rock crawling experience, so I wanted to do a few smaller trails prior. Having a hard time finding anything remotely close to Jacksonville to do that. I may have to check Ft. Bragg out. Thanks.
