Ladies and Gentlemen,

Let's get out this Saturday and enjoy one of the most beautiful trails in Northern California, if not the nation. I have experience as a hiker in this area and just this last weekend, did a little bit of scouting. Here is a shot I took showing a view of Gold Lake from the trail:

Now I will preface this run as not being an official run, just a get together amongst friends to explore and enjoy this area with me and others. So far, I have two other people (QuicksilverJK and benatc1) going and I hope to get a few more. I further need to advise you that I have not wheeled this area much, being that I have not wheeled much at all. But I figure that we will have fun learning about this trail system together. I will bring maps and other information so this should be a good run.

Anyone with a stock Rubicon or higher is welcome. The trail is not that difficult and as always, we will make sure that everyone makes it out safe and alive. We do not plan on having anyone read about us in the news.

I would like to meet at 8:00am on Saturday at the Bordertown Casino, right at the California border of Highway 395. Roll time will be 8:30 SHARP. If you have any questions, please PM me. Also, please let us know if you are going, so we can get a head count prior to heading out.

Drivers signed up:

1. QuicksilverJK
2. benatc1
3. FiresJK
4. NevadaZielmeister
5. Russ aka getoverit

If you don't have a lot of off road experience I'd stay off the Snake Lake trail and Little Deer Lake trails. They are not really hard but can get pretty torn up making getting back up pretty interesting. Also, a lot of folks with less experience don't often like dropping down a V notch on a cliff.

So does that mean you are joining us? We would love to have you.

Okay troopers, we now have 5 rigs for our trail fun tomorrow. My friend Russ, a wayalifer who is not super active on the forum, will meet us at the OHV Campground at Gold Lake and from there will drive with us. I suspect that he will have a lot of insight regarding the trails ahead and provide good input.

Please let me know as soon as possible whether you want to join us for a fun run through beautiful Sierra Nevada forest trails!!!
