I just noticed those are some pretty serious tires on the kayak trailer! Overland kayak adventures?

Kind of, Really It's a bit long but should be decent for getting to the river. Will be even better once I flip that rear axle for more clearance.

I'd like to swap the hubs for 5x5 and run matching wheels and tires. I current Jeeps Spare is brand new. If I bought 3 new tires and use my Spare. I can have 4 new tires on the Jeep and have 3 used, but very good Trailer and spare tire.

Sounds like a pretty cool project. Im not a kayaker but I woukd imagine a jeep can take you to some cool places that can't be found by the normal route. Enjoy!

Bought a set of 2015 Rubicon Dana 44 axles with only 36k miles.

Going to re-gear them with 5.13s or 5.38s. I know a lot here say NO on the 5.38s, but I think my Driving habits and for Daily driving. The 5.38s will be nice to have.

Almost done with my Kayak Trailer.

It has 19in of Ground Clearance under the axle.

Eventually I'm going to make the tongue adjustable. So I can shorten it for Camping trips then lengthen it for my Kayak.

Still have under $100 invested in the whole thing.

Just picked up my new Rubicon Axles.

They look good, only one problem. I was told they came with knuckles, and they didn't. And I already sold my axles. So now I'm looking for a deal on knuckles.

So if anyone has a good used set laying around let me know.

Ok I'm building up my Rubicon Axles now.

I wasn't planning on buying the rear. I was going to build my non-rubi axle. But I picked up the Rear axle for dirt cheap. Figured the locker was worth it.

Ten factory Front and Rear axles
LCA Skids
Diff covers - haven't picked those out yet. Probably Motobilt again
Sleeves - Still on the fence on these, but It's only $200 welded in.
Larger Draglink - haven't picked that out either
Upper and Lower C-Gussets

The rig look great!

Question on your Fenders. Did you paint them or are they bare aluminum? If bare metal, what is your paint color? Looks like PS2 bright silver metallic.

Thanks

They are painted to match. Ya they are Aluminum and Yes Bright silver metallic.

They look very good. I’ve got the same color and about to pull the trigger on the Genright aluminum fenders but wondering what they would look like unpainted.

If you don’t mind, what was the cost of painting them?

Been ordering a lot of stuff this week. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up my Rubicon axles from getting regeard and C-Gusstes welded on. So I can install my new knuckles and balljoint delete kit.

OEM Replacement Radiator
Knuckles
Wheel bearings and bolts
Yukon Diff Covers
Switches for Rubicon Lockers
Rugged Ridge JK switch panel
1-Ton Tie rod

Whats a good paint to use to paint my axles?
