I'm up for adoption. A pr44 gets you to the front of the line.

Seriously pretty cool dad. Hope I can do something like that for my son. Reminds me of when my mom bought a 70 el Camino to restore for my first car.

Damn! That thing's coming along nicely! Talk with Grubbicon and jkwebbie about the axle swap. Both of them are doing it. Grubb is almost finished with his. Looking forward to seeing you guys in May!

Them two what got me in the shit creek lmao

HAHAHAHA! They'll do that! If you go with the stock style coil setup and NOT coilovers, it will be a much easier swap. The only reason Grubb's isn't completed is because of him going to ORI struts.

was going to us a stock type just dont know about companys thought about making my owen but that would cost more than rock krawler set hes thinking king coil over after we get them in their from evo might need to calll mel his fault also lolYv4TWl5.jpg

You might be able to go with the Artec axle kit that has all the stuff to use with stock suspension, then go with the EVO bolt-on coilover kit. Honestly though, I would stick with a regular coil suspension setup. There really aren't enough benefits to having the coilovers living in the southeast.

hood latches

Not alote done last few days . put some hood larches on .Also drove 300 miles for a soft top that was in as new shape darn craiglist lol just could not pass the price up will be a few day before i even try putting it on working nights so not getting alote done and waiting on parts.IMAG0176.jpg

My back dont think so after moving them axles lol . order the switch and wiring for axles should have by friday ? new axle is under jeep with control arm in and shocks and springs .we went with a new rubicon 44 from dealer.

well axle is in have not had time to wire.will get to it in next few days. total work time about 8 hours but then you have the running parts down.
Drag link joint was looking ruff so new drag link and driver tie rod end . and went ahead put new brake pads and rotated tires. and it drives great .will put some pic of it up after having c and outer housing weld in . I hate letting someone work on my stuff but a welder im not. got the evo tire carrier on thats just way to much fun for a day lol.

Have had some question on axle. I pick up a new rubicon 44 from dealer for a little under $2400 they even loaded it in truck for me the axle is complete even has gear oil in it all you use is your old brakes . we are welding in EVO controll arm skids $35.00 EVO
c gussets $60.00 and a outer sleeve from rock slide engineering $189.00. did not go with inner sleeve in case we break a axle . if that happens will upgrade it to arb air locker and cvc axles this sould be a good route. we run 15inch 35 12.50 right now may go bigger way down the road . the axle comes with 12 month 12000 mile warranty but that out the door when we have the welding done. you can pick the wireing for the locker on amzon for $48.00 with the plug thats just the locker the indector you will cut the pig tail use butt contors and heat srink. switch $16.00 relay fuse $12.00 and a rattle can black paint $6.00 so thats add some wire and we are at $2766 now im paying a welder $250 to weld it for me.
the dana 30 that was in the jeep sold it for $250.00 so it pays for welding. Our jeep had 4.10 factory so was good for us as i have said its no pro rock and for $1200 more could of had a pro rock with arb .so you have to look at what you want . we wanted locker in front . if i had went pro rock would have changed gears from 4.10 then would have had to have back done also.

The building of Silver for the long ranger

Well started putting armor under silver went with EVO protec skid
http://www.offroadevolution.com/product/evo-mfg-07-11-protek-skid-system-auto-trans-jk-jku/
and trans cross menber
http://www.offroadevolution.com/product/evo-2007-11-hd-protek-transmission-crossmember-jk-black/
simple install lol no such thing okay putting the auto matic trans pan on though go ahead and change filter while im their.
no big deal .off to auto zone and doing oil pan go ahead and change oil so $ 95.00 litter im back at house . start taking things off .this is going easy and then it bits the last person in this thing did not put anti seize on bolt you know steel bolts going in aluminum good pratice and yes motor and trans was cold .pulled the threads on one just my luck okay not in bad shape can run bolt from top it was on conner good not going to tap it bolt and nut we will see if it leaks just hope the oil pan dont do the same thing stuff like that drives me crazy . could not torque bolts to spec could not get in to them so guess at it that also drives me crazy.
