Very Nice! A true mechanic that just gets it done.:thumb: BTW Love the Long Board!

Mine is next!

Hahahaha, I clamped the long board to the slab and the gearbox to the long board. That's my redneck workbench. :)
Thanks!

Caught the Bug
So my jeep is almost 5 months old and has roughly 11k miles on it. I had the dealership do the second oil change around 9500 miles. When I picked it up it was leaking oil everywhere. I went back and they told me they put 3 filters on it before it stopped leaking. That was 1500 miles about. I kept seeing oil so tonight I started investigating by pulling the protek skids and crossmember and found the oil was coming from the top again. Looks to be leaking from around the filter once again. I'm really frustrated considering the jeep is almost new and the underneath is covered in oil. Gonna take it back tomorrow. We'll see!

I'd put money on they cracked the filter housing. Very common issue as the housing is plastic and the filter cap only needs 16ft/lbs.

Good luck!

On a different note, the Jeep is looking great!

Thanks, I'm hoping that's it and they get it resolved.

Hahahaha, no joke, I am bitching a little. :) I'm trying to go wheeling this weekend and things keep getting in the way!

Your jeep is pretty new, but there is an updated housing specifically to address this issue. I believe the part number now ends with AB rather than AA.

Just went by the dealership, the jeep is under the knife getting a new oil cooler! Should be ready in 2 hrs. Smolich motors had been amazing so far!

Skid plate straightening 101. Bronco Canyon was hell that day trying to hang with Overlander and Eddie with a 4 door and 35's. :)

It's been a busy week getting the jeep finished up for a good run this weekend!
Went out this afternoon for a check out everything. Fisrt time I've stuffed the tires since the install. It's coming along, just a few more bugs to work out. I put new longer e-brake cables on today also. I had to move the Evap skid also.

A couple things I've noticed about the Spicer UD 60'S that I don't like...
The Eaton electric lockers are only the 2 pin design, so they take a bit of rotation to engage and they don't like to unlock like the factory ones. Time will tell more.
