TreyS1's 2015 JKUR HR

Hey everyone!

Starting this late as it is kind of the end of this stage, with more to come I'm sure (as it always does!). This is my second JK that I picked up right before a move from Atlanta to Las Cruces NM. My last JK was a silver 2 door that I let go several years ago and have been Wrangler-less since (although there were a couple GC's in there). I knew with the move out west that it was time for another.

It is a 2015 JKUR HR | Auto | Tank

When I picked it up it already had a 2.5" RE Coil Lift, 315/70r17s on the stock wheels and spacers & an Alpine Restyle system. This was good enough to make the journey from GA to NM!

Got it to NM and a winch was already waiting at the new house (and an engine skid....no pics)!

Cut fenders are great but I have always been a big fan of tube fenders. Had Genright on my last JK but wanted something a little more cost effective this time and wanted black out of the box. Went with the Aries aluminums and I am actually quite impressed for the $. Put a Cobra 75 CB in & did a license plate relocations as well. (The view is from right by the house )

Knowing I had 37's and a bunch of other stuff on order, I installed front and rear adjustable track bars + a rear track bar bracket and did a trim job on the Hard Rock rock rails:

And finally, I picked it up last week from:
  • Completing a RE 2.5" Superflex Lift (added all control arms).
  • Fox 2.0 PS Reservoir Shocks
  • G2 Gears
  • Alloy USA Shafts Front & Rear
  • RE 1310 Driveshafts
  • Truss & Gussets
  • Teraflex HD Adjustable Ball Joints
  • BFG 37x12.50r17 KM3's on Procomp 97 Matte Black Wheels

And now it's just a matter of putting a few hundred more easy miles on it for the final gear checkup and looking forward to hitting it!

Nice work! I’ve been thinking about the Aries fenders for awhile. How is the fit and finish of them? Any issues installing?

Nice looking Jeep - love that color!

Nice! That tank color is awesome!

Thanks! I am loving the color myself even thought I have been partial to silver in the past. I think the Tank goes well with all the black other stuff.

Thanks! I replied to your PM, but I'll put it here for others as well. The finish was great out of the box and the install went off without a hitch (using a REAL nutcert tool). The one complaint some people have on the fitment which my set has as well is between the front most 2 bolts on the front fenders there is about a 1/8-1/4" gap between the plate on the fender and body. It does NOT bother me personally and I only ever noticed it when I was installing and it has never again caught my eye. For the $ I would 100% buy them again.

Your jeep looks great [emoji106]

My inner fenders were SUPER rattly so my huge accomplishment for the week was to split some silicone tube down the side and slip it on where they were rattling against the spring buckets. Need to get some black tubing now that I confirmed it resolved the rattling.

My gear break in miles are done and the check is scheduled for next weekend, looking forward to hitting the trails!

Since the last update I have finished my gear break in miles and have since been on a few trail rides. Everything is working pretty good!

Also added a Barnes 4wd Aluminum Steering kit and some rancho rear LCA / shock skids (front LCAs have weld on skids already).

Next on the list will be a PSC Big Bore box but I am still deciding on the final iteration of it AND I have now sprung a very minor trans leak that will need to be sorted out.....

Got my KMC Hex's mounted up this week and tested out today. Test run was 12psi and everything was all good!

Looks really nice! I really like the black with silver ring. BTW, are those wheels hub-centric or lug-centric?

Thanks! Yeah, I have always been a fan of the black wheel and machined ring. I am 99% sure that these in the 17x9 / 5x5 size are hubcentric.
