As many of you know, Lion's Back in Moab, Utah has been closed since 2004. For the 50th Easter Jeep Safari, the first and only 2-door JK Wrangler, 4-door JK Wrangler Unlimited and a WK Grand Cherokee made history by getting a rare chance to take it on. Check it out...

Wow! Awesome! The fins can feel pretty nuts at times and the lion's back looks nuts! [emoji15] very cool!

on a more somber note:

19 years ago today (May 2, 1997) two young adults died, Jason Lindsey and his friend Wayne Cummings. Reportedly they drove off the edge while turning around on top. I recall reading the story, but can't find any online articles.
I do have some photos I took at the spot they were found. These photos were taken in June 2012. RIP guys.

Sad, turning around on top is probably the hardest part. Our last trip on Lion's back was 2003. Glad the kids decided to wait at the bottom as the t-case on the Atlas popped into neutral on the way down sending us for a quick free wheeling ride down the face. Lucky it ended well for us.....

I assume this thread is archived, however I just came across this while showing my twins pictures of Lions Back. I wanted to thank you for sharing these pictures. Jason is my late brother. He is missed and am so thankful to see you took these pictures. I have not been to Lions back for at least 15 years and hope to have time in the near future to take my kids there.

I appreciate this more than you know.
Thank you!!!
