WAYALIFE on the GO : Miscellaneous Photos from Cindy & Eddie!

Cindy and I loved the Big Horn Crossing so much the last time we were there that we made a point to visit it again and this time, we ordered up their OUTSTANDING tacos! Also got a chance to have a really nice chat with the chef and it turns out that he used to be the head chef at MGM in Las Vegas. Needless to say, that would explain the top quality of the food that is served in the remote corner of Nevada :)

Oh, we also ordered up a couple of lattes and they were delicious too :)

I’ll have to stop there next time i go through, I saw it the last time and thought to myself, “was that always a restaurant”, I’ll tell my parents too as they like to drive out there by the lake.

So, it's funny because The Bighorn Crossing is more of a convenience store with a gourmet chef and tables that you can eat at than a "restaurant" but it really is good stuff. Not sure if you saw it on our other post but their burgers, burritos and soups are delicious too.

I was looking on google maps after I posted and I’m not sure either. It was a while back. But I do recall driving lakeside on dirt for some time and then staying not too far from the lake. My memory ain’t what it used to be, and it wasn’t that great to begin with. Ha ha.
It really is and I would highly recommend it (y)

Most of what you're seeing is from last year's snow melt. There was so much water content that the Walker River just kept flowing in all year. The storms this year is just keeping that going.

I don't think so but it's been a while so I'll have to look back and see LOL
It was Walker. I think it was on the trip to Middlegate. We ate at the Casino in Hawthorne after. We drove through all the cow shit on the way to the bank of the lake past the ammo cache storage buildings.

Okay, that's the trip I was thinking you were on, the last leg of the Emigrant Trail and that was the then, re-filled Carson Lake.

Those were the good old days. I remember that cow shit drive. Stained my JK fenders. lol. I was on both trips, pretty sure. 😎

The trip we took to the cabin under the rock. We ended up at the Walker River mouth into Walker Lake. May 28, 2017. Started in Tonapah and hit a few saloons on the way. 😎

Thanks Moochie for the memory lane. Those were some epic trips! Look at all those fine silver jeeps. All these years later, my hair is starting to match. Ha ha.

Your memory is good too. We did drive by the ammo storage buildings on the way to the mouth of the lake. I remember how dusty the road was on the way back to Hawthorne.
