WAYALIFE Whiskey Wanderlust

Alright, this is the FOOD post. I was talking to Eddie, and I hear that ~sometimes~ there isn't always food available at our stops. Since Monica and I often camp and overland, we were thinking of bringing our skottle and fridge for food (Monica's vegan/vegetarian). What are your experiences? Obviously we will have trail snacks and sandwiches, stuff like that, but will there be TIME for pulling out a skottle and cooking food? Just wanna be prepared...ounce of prevention and what not. Thanks!
I won't be on this trip but in my past traveling with a group and having a particular diet, I tried to be prepared as possible where I could eat my own shit quickly without slowing down the group. I never pack any food that needs to be cooked unless there's a guaranteed 'camp' spot with adequate time. Bring the fridge.

For those of you who've done trips with Cindy and I, you know that we always 'try' to make fun food stops BUT... out in the middle of Nevada, things don't always go according to plan. Needless to say, bringing lunches, dinners, trail snacks and of course lots of water is a MUST!!!

That said, at each of our whiskey stops, there 'should' be food but again, you have to keep in mind the kind of places we'll be imbibing at - as in, they're out in the middle of nowhere Nevada and typically, you can be sure that meat is on the menu. And, being that we'll be consuming adult beverages, you can be sure that we'll be at each of them for a bit 🤪
So basically….a Whiskey Wanderlust. 🥃🥃 I’ll bring extra whiskey in case we finish off what the places have. I read something about food and snacks, so will try to find a bit of extra room for those too. 🤣🤣🤣

Cool, now that we got the idea, it’s gonna be easy. I’ll be bringing a good ol’ Texas spirit for all of us to enjoy too—looking forward to the copious amounts of liquid refreshments, and meeting everyone. AND ask me why I thought the trip started NEXT weekend?! Now I have a whole other week to get stuff ready. I love it when that happens, ‘cause usually for me it’s the other way around and I end up having LESS time🤪

Vegan and vegetarian are different. She knows that right?

So good. Have you tried the uncut?
Also, I see you have the French Oak makers. Amazing, huh?
Haven’t had the uncut recently, but will need to add to the shelves. The oaked is good, though haven’t poured it in a bit.

I have too many bottles and just one liver, I don’t recall each pour. I have several favs on these shelves though. I’ve added a few since this pic. I have a buying addiction. lol. Truth be told, started years ago with the first Whiskey Wanderlusts’.

Why are all the bottles so full?

Good morning! So, what’s everybody using for coms? I have GMRS in both Jeeps, but know CB is still prevalent. Thoughts?? And it’s a nice day in Houston today, low 60s. Gonna miss this next month when it’s starts consistently hitting the low 90s. 🥵

We’ll be using GMRS and more than likely, a few of the race radio frequencies.
