Had this beast.

Well after I blew the 6.0 for the second time under warranty.... I drove one one lot to another for this...

I hated the 3.8 so I traded it for Betty my 2013 JKUR

I've had more vehicles than I can count, so Ill only go back a few years or so.

My wife wanted me to get something smaller that got good gas mileage because of my long commute from NM to TX to work everyday, so I left one day without her knowledge and came home with this!

Our family vehicle was this:
1998 Land Rover Discovery
LR Discovery 004.jpg

After about a year or so, I got a good offer on the VW and sold it. It was replaced with this:
1983 CJ7
IMG_0008.jpg

We sold the Land Rover and got a 2010 Jeep Commander:
IMG_0280.jpg

After my last deployment I had to have a few surgeries and found it almost impossible most days to even depress the clutch on the CJ7, and the stiff leaf spring ride hurt like hell, so I sold it to a guy who came all the way down from New York. After a bit of depression, my wife surprised me and bought this:
2013 JK
IMG_0325.jpg

We put a few parts on it and started having fun with it. Problem for us was, no room for the kids. My teen son was also coming from his moms to live with us, and we knew more room would be needed all the way around, thus we upgraded the Commander to a more family friendly setup, the Domestic Urban Assault Vehicle, AKA 2014 Town and country:
SAM_1372.jpg

and I was in a great position to trade my 2013 in for a 2014 JKU, which I ended up getting at cost, plus the dealer kick back towards the Jeep. They gave me more for trade in on my 13' than I paid for it new, plus a big cash down payment. Thus, I know drive what could very well be my last Jeep ever, as I cannot ever see replacing her.

Had this car for 11 years before letting it go. Still miss this car to date. It was just a blast to drive.

Next was a '12 WRX. Had this car at the same time I had the gti. Plan was to continue modifying the gti and only slightly modify the wrx but daily it. That didnt last long at all. I sold the gti for parts for the wrx. This car was fun as hell to drive especially in the snow. However it lacked the german build qualtiy I was accustomed to. With 10k miles on the motor it spun a bearing (a known issue with them apparently). Kept the car for only 2yrs and traded it for my '14 JKU. Never looked back

I don't have any pics but I had a 95' 5.0 mustang. Then a 2001 dodge Dakota R/T 5.9 liter and yea I lowered that truck and it was fast. Then I degreased (too many speeding tickets). GMC Sierra. That was totaled so I got a FJ Cruiser (yes the other dark side). Then traded that in for the wife's GMC Yukon and kept her civic. Finally got tired of the civic and got another GMC Sierra. Which I then traded in for the Jeep. Basically every 2yrs I get a new car but not this go around. RHINO is here to stay.

Had the CBR1000RR for a few years, the 72 Chevy is my daughter first truck. The F-250 was my pride and joy it had 812 hp and would run 12.5 in a quarter but traded it in for the Tundra. Just starting to build it. My wife has the cool vehicle (2014 JK)

Thanks, I appreciate it!

I've loved old VWs since I was a kid in southern California. I always wanted one, so when my wife pushed for me to get an 'economy car', I obliged with the VW. She wasn't to happy! Lol!

Found some pictures of the Jeep I owned before my JK.
Wish I would have hung on to this one.
'68 Commando
Buick V6 and a 4 speed. It was a screamer and a torquey SOB. Had a blast cruising around in it.
