I've thought about doing the same thing, but with clear/white LEDs. To be honest, I think they need to be brighter. I hope when I get around to mine that they are brighter.

What brand/company of LEDs did you use?

I used super bright leds and they came out great.

Okay. Take a look at super bright leds. The ones I got are the brightest and are waterproof. If you play in the water, it will help not short out the wiring. I used two 19.4 in strips and was very happy with the outcome. I searched online for awhile before I found these.

If I'm being honest, I'm not a fan at all. Reminds me of cruising our cars at the strip in high school with the undercarriage neons and 12" subs in the back. Just not my style anymore (last 14 years). But to each their own. If you like it, I'm sure others do too, then you should rock em! :yup:
