WTB: jack stands

Did you already order 37s?
I wish. Just planning for the future.
Harbor freight 3 ton stands are just tall enough for 35s. They have 6 ton stands that are almost 2' at full extension.

I know I'd probably be fine, but not putting my life and the life of my kids in the hands of harbor freight. They definitely have their place, but I want something more reputable when it's holding thousands of pounds over me.

Fair enough, their stands are something I have never been concerned with. Napa has good stands too, you would just have to verify that the max height is at least 1/2 of your tire height. I use napa stands at work.

Well you would definitely not want to take a chance on using the boards as he did. ...... yeah i think you just need to jack it up throw a couple sawhorses under it and call it day. Lol

I use the harbor freight 6 ton stands and they work just great. Been using them for years now as well as their floor jack.

I used harbor freight 6 tons on mine when I did my lift. Never really thought about it kinda crazy now that you say since all their tools break easily. But I still have them 6 years later holding my 14 bolt. 20161109_104857.jpg

Gotta consider that each stand is rated for nearly 2x the weight of the jeep. Using 4 of them you now have 48,000 lbs worth of stands supporting the jeep. If they missed there weight rating by that much they wouldn't be in business any more.

I have had HF stands for years and no problem. If there was a problem with them they would be all over the news. I bought several tools from them and have been using since 2011. Get a 20% cupin on line and save some money!

12 ton give you a lot more height if needed. But then you need a jack that can actually lift your rig that high. The extra height does help though

Well apparently I just need to go to HF and be done with it! Looks like I can get a pair of 6 ton Jack stands for $40 after coupon (thanks Catahoula).

Honestly, there's nothing apparent in the construction of these that would make me hesitate crawling under my Jeep with them. Open up a box while you're there & check them out.

Scott you can print up those coupons more than once. I would get the torque wrench too. Got mine for under 10. I have used it since 2011 and no problems. Very surprised and pleased with their stuff. I got there impact sockets because I was worried they would not last.they have.

My Jeep sat atop 4 of these for 3.5 weeks while I installed my lift. Before I even took a tire off I shook the shit out of the jeep to make sure It'd hold. Nothing happened so I figured I was good to go and had no issues. Now my 5 yo daughter wanted to crawl under there and see but that's where I drew the line. The only thing that happened was all of the weight somehow came off of one of them and the Jeep was being held up by only 3 stands. Really weird.
