LOVE IT or HATE IT? JEEP's New Slogan - “Zero Emission Freedom”

This is what the environmentalists want to do in Nevada. You know, because there is an endless supply of water out here and it’s all in the name of “saving the planet” 👍🏻
billions of un-reusable water, good thing Nevada has an endless supply of water cause you know, all the casinos don't recycle or are on water rations ever.

There's another option but it doesn't fit their anti-fossil fuel propaganda narrative:

https://news.utexas.edu/2021/09/08/...-from-water-could-increase-supply-efficiency/

"Beyond salt brines, wastewater generated in oil and gas production also contains lithium but remains untapped today. Just a single week’s worth of water from hydraulic fracturing in Texas’ Eagle Ford Shale has the potential to produce enough lithium for 300 electric vehicle batteries or 1.7 million smartphones, the researchers said. This example shows the scale of opportunities for this new technique to vastly increase lithium supply and lower costs for devices that rely on it."

U.S. mining sites dump 50 million gallons of fouled wastewater daily

Wastewater is not "generated", rather it is a byproduct of taking scarse clean water and turning it into industrial waste. Great job of marketing!

This entire thing is a scam lol. There is nothing clean about battery tech - just because you do not see the lithium mines or the pollution that is emitted from the production of all the various components to produce the parts needed for these newer EV's/Plugin hybrids etc is nonsense. I mean if you want to tout more fuel economy sure. At the end of the day i do not care as much - do I love the sound of a v8 (absolutely) but if it can crawl and run 40s + quickly refuel and get back home then I do not care. There are no charging stations on trails and carrying a generator (and gas/fuel for it) out on trips is ridiculous (many EV pundits try and peddle this as a solution). For now i don't think its viable for jeeps - for city commuters you can make it work.. offroad (capable) vehicles no, people in rural areas big no. Also the charger ev they came out with that made those weird cat sounds was real creepy... lol. No Thanks on EVs for now.

So I was thinking after seeing a recent post from Dodge's official account teasing the new Charger/Challenger EV set to unveil March 5th - and seeing how every comment is the car community despising the death of the ICE and how if they were to go forward with this crap, Dodge (not to mention every other brand of course) will go bankrupt thanks to the ratio of people actually into the EV shit to fans of the V8 or gasoline in general.

Again it got me thinking - is that the idea behind the huge Stellantis merger? The 15 or 16 brands ALL committed to the EV push? Do they know sales will fall and that they'll be forced to pool together any smidge of profit from all their little French, Italian, American, and yes CHINESE brands? Is this why brands like Ford have been failing miserably with their EV push since their essentially on their own? I don't know. All I do know is that behind the lie of zero emissions thanks to their awful production processes, the overall quality of not only Mopar products obviously but everything else is severely worsening and has me worried about the future of the automotive industry. Don't even get me started on the lack of service needed on these vehicles putting techs out of a job someday if this shit continues.

More and more each day do I plan to NOT buy anything new.

Don't worry about the auto industry, they know that when they bankrupt themselves with EVs the taxpayers will bail them out, again...

I am not very excited about any of the new vehicles coming out, definitely not any of the EV’s. I will say that Hydrogen Fuel Cell technology might be interesting but it’s going to be a while before all that gets worked out

If the FedGov would just quit pushing its own green agenda and stop messing around with stupid shit like CAFE standards and the supply of oil. Let the free market drive what’s produced and the cost of energy. The auto manufacturers are just responding to FedGov policies and bullying.

they've made it very clear they don't give a fuck about the population that made them so popular.

I've bought my last Jeep.

That's gross even for black history month. I liked it better when the Jeep brand was for ALL Americans.
