WAYALIFE Old Iron Recovery Rig

Well, as much as Cindy and I both like the aggressive side of the Nitto Recon Grapplers, we ultimately decided that they look better on a Jeep. On an old Duramax like this... eh, not so much. Maybe a bit too busy for the smooth simple lines.

Here's a shot of what it would have looked like.

And, after seeing this, we decided it just looked cleaner and like it belonged on this truck.

Needless to say, we just got them installed and here's what this rig looks like now.

Looks good. Still say you should’ve mixed it up. Haha

well hell, I need to check but looking at this makes me think I put the modest lugs out when I wanted the aggressive out

That is one of the better/best diesels to buy. I traded in my last glaidator on a '22 Ram 2500. A few parts fell off of it - and after several dozen revisions i had something that actually worked ... then the lifters on it started to fail (a sound I was told and others that was just injector rattle at first - then it got worse and was pretty obvious). I do miss the sound and the torque of the cummins. If i had to get another diesel though It would have to be a L5P - they seem to have the least issues out of the big 3 (with all the emissions junk still on) and they certainly do ride the best.

Great looking truck!

Great looking truck!
It was cool while it lasted - i traded my '21 Willys in on that one. Lifters let me down and also tuning them is impossible without a PCM/ECU swap (which is a pain to do). So much easier to work on my Gladiator - i miss the sound, fuel economy and the diesel smell .... and the $35k i lost on that thing :( .
