Tranny fluid change Q

So im doing the tranny and transfer case at the moment! First time doing this read the right ups and it says 3qts but i only got about 2 and a half in before it was come out! It is on lever ground to. Sorry for noob question! Here are some pics so far!

Sounds about right. When I did my dif's it said about 2qts in the front and 3 for the rear ended up using less.

Mine used less also but it was coming out the hole so I put the plug back in.

Thats what happened to me just wanted to be sure before i drove to work on it!

That's gonna be normal. The specs you're finding are for dry filling the trans and t/c. When fluid comes out of the fill hole, it's full.

Sounds right and so long as you got it oozing back out the fill hole, you should be fine.
