Spotted some drips under the front diff the other day and assumed it was coming from the cover. Upon a closer look it is seeping from the pinion seal. Has anyone seen a writeup on this? Looked around and havent had much luck so far.

More than likely, the inner seal is leaking and that will require you to pull your ring and pinion to replace. Of course, it's not such a bad idea to replace the outer at the same time. The seals themselves aren't too expensive but, you will need a good seal driver to get it installed and setting up your gears again exactly in the same manner can leave yourself open to errors. If you can have a shop do it, I might recommend it.

10-4. Thanks. Makes sense the inner would have to fail before the outer would go. Will look into getting it done. This guy knows his limitations, but sure would like to watch the process of the gear setup.
