I'm sure it's just me but I run 37's on 3.5" of lift on my Dozer JK and I feel like it's a tad too tall. I also run 40's on my white JK and with just 3.5" of lift and for my purposes, feel that it's just right. Sure, I've had to do a lot of trimming and still get some rubbing at an extreme flex but the low LCG is real nice on the trail. Again, to each their own. Back in the 80's, I loved tall lifts too and still think your rig looks sharp - just not for me.
On the last Jeep build I did, I ran a 4 1/2" on a 1999 TJ and with some serious trimming, I was running 37's...honestly, it seemed WAY too tall to me then, even with the big ole wide TSL Supper Swampers lowering the center a bit.
With this JKU though, I have been very pleasantly surprised to this point. I have taken it up and around Uwharrie here in NC and beat it up pretty good trying to flex and test it purposefully on odd angles to see what it can handle and what it cannot. For me, the approach angles are a huge plus for the type of wheeling I do, and I rely on driver experience to even out some of the questionable situations.
By no means am I married to the 6" lift; so I appreciate the perspective. For me though, so far at least, it has been something that has been fun to play with and it has performed beyond expectations both on and off the trails.
Another couple pictures, just because we have been typing so much
