Filling up the gas tank...

Ok so haven't ran across this topic... 07' Jku Sahara. When getting gas it over flows almost every time. Typically I have to stop it at or just over the 3/4 full mark to finish filling it manually. What can I do to fix this problem.. I would think there would be a flapper inside the filler neck to prevent it but it doesn't appear to have one... Any ideas that may help...?

Yep. Same thing was happening to my 07. The dealer took care of it but wanted to charge me $100 because of my lift. I ended up getting it down to $50.

My 2007 did that but it was taken care of a long time ago. Chrysler put a new gas tank in it for me.

Gonna try and see if the dealer will fix my 06 TJ that has the same issue. Wish me luck...

My 05 is the opposite- I've smashed the tank so many times, some pumps you can't even have it on high- I have to do the middle click or it trips off constantly.

So you just need to smash it a little- not quite as much as mine, but more than yours.
