This past weekend David, OVRNUNDR on JK forum and I headed out to Yuma to explore a few trails. First stop, campground and found out by the ranger where the narrows trail was at. Then we went searching for Jackson Gulch trail that connected to Araz wash. Here are some pictures,

Unable to complete the narrows due to our jeeps being too wide we ended up turning around and went searching for Jackson Gulch trail to Araz wash. Just outside Yuma we connected to sidewinder rd that lead us to Jackson gulch trail. Most of the trail required 4lo and as you can see in one pic we hit a dead end. Once in araz wash we found a old dirt bike and David and i decided to pose with it. LOL. Coming out of the wash we came across man made rock formations known "Names". You can actually see it on google earth. After this we headed back to camp just before sunset.

The follow day I decided to checkout the history and the sights of Picacho State Park which lays on the west shores of the Colorado river and had a booming mining town around 1895. Enjoy!

Here is a GPS map of our trek starting at sidewinder rd and ending back at camp. It took about 3.5 hours to complete. You can see where we hit a dead end and part of this trip included looking around the Names area for a few minutes.

Was a good trip, I enjoyed myself. I wish I could have stayed all weekend. It certainly gave me a reason to chop my fenders.
