My wife and I, loaded up the Jeep, and left Madison, MS on July 22, and spent the next 2 days driving to Ouray, CO. On the way I had to get the obligatory Route 66 pics...
Entering Colorado on Hwy 550
We stayed at the Strater Hotel, when we got to Durango, Saturday night.

The first trail run we made was Yankee Boy Basin
Then Imogene Pass
We stayed at the KOA, and just out of Ouray, at mile marker 95 on HWY 550, was this...wonder where that goes?
The next day, we were going to do the Alpine Loop, so I decided to run to The Wall at Poughkeepsie Gulch and have a look, even though I had no plans to try to go up. We fell in with a group of Colorado natives, and they talked me into it.
