Tapping box for hydro

I have a spare box I'm getting ready to tap for hydro. I know the locations I need to drill, I found a write-up that explains it pretty well but they drill it without disassembling it and I was wondering if that was acceptable or if it was a better idea to take it apart. I don't want to create more work for myself, but I don't want to take any shortcuts either.

If you don't disassemble it, you run the risk of leaving behind metal shavings inside and that could cause more problems for you in the future. Or, I would think anyway.

I read somewhere about pressing it up with air during the process to keep the shavings from falling in. Never done it but just an idea to look into.

That's the write-up I saw, probably best to just dissemble it. Those shavings can wreak havoc on the pump.

Yea deff disassemble it. It's safer and easier in the long run
