What do you think of Warn XD 9000?

I would just buy a Xeon winch but the bumper I want won't fit it.

I'm wondering if the Warn XD9/XD9i 9000 is respectable.

It does appear to use wire rope rather than synthetic rope. I'm not sure which most people use.

It's a good winch and you can always swap out the wire rope for synth.

The XD9000 is a great winch. I’ve run them on quite a few different vehicles without any issues. Just swap the wire out for synthetic once it’s kinked or rusted.

Thanks guys... stupid question here but is there any downside to synthetic?

My main concern was if it snaps somehow it would be "safer" than a wire rope with the snapback.
