Although the Nitto Jeep Experience presented by KMC Wheels is an annual off road Jeep event that's been going on since 2016, I'm actually sorry to say Cindy and I had never attended one or at least, not until now. Of course, it does take place right in the middle of Texas and and getting there isn't exactly a hop skip and a jump for us. There was also the question of, what kind of wheeling could there possibly be out in Texas? Well, for those of you who've never been, what I can tell you is that the wheeling at K2 or Katemcy Rock is nothing short of AWESOME! I mean, who knew there were big ass rocks in Texas, with tons of grip and with crazy fun obstacles ranging from MILD 2 WILD! As they like to say out there, it really is the "Moab of Texas"!

In this first of a 2 Part Series, you'll get a glimpse of the epic 24 hour drive that we made from Carson City, Nevada to Mason, Texas and you'll get to see some of the cool pre-run footage that we were able to get of the badass EVO Jeep Gladiator, taking on the rocks - Texas style! We hope you enjoy.

Great video as always! Mel might need to do some fender trimming. A lot of rubbing with those 40ís.

We removed the rear fender liners that evening and it was better the next day. Also, Mel has Rubicon fenders back at the shop and that alone would have made a world of difference.

Nothing like a long road trip to be rewarded with wheeling in a completely different part of the country youíve never experienced before...itís part of what makes the good ole USA such a great place...

Itís always more challenging dipping your tires into water just before climbing the rocks...

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip...I might have to make one of these events in the future...

Awesome first day and awesome video! I am still kicking myself for not attending this. It's about a 10-12-hour trip for me from Kansasand I was almost signed up but I backed out at the last second..... but it would have afforded me the opportunity for my daughter and I to meet you and Cindy for the first time and Mel and Lisa again from meeting them in 2017 in Hannibal, MO for the JKX start .....and we would have got to wheel with all of you guys 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 oh well, hopefully there's next year!?

Can't wait for the second part, just stayed up till past 1am watching it... looks like the Gladiator did amazing and Jet Li did damn good for 37's!😎🍻

Great video. It's amazing what the EVO Gladiator can do, on their entry-level lift no less. And that scraping is definitely nails down the chalkboard, LOL. Something I've been meaning to ask... what is the extra lip (plastic?) added to the fender flares?

Finally got around to watching this, great video, Gladiator definitely did work. That trail looked pretty technical in parts too. Thanks for sharing!

Great video. After the pre run and you say ďMel said thatís about the easiest trail there isĒ I knew shit was gonna get real. Ha ha.

Look forward to part two.

LOL!! On part 2, you'll get to see some of the more "challenging" obstacles we took on but even they were still far from the extreme stuff you can do out there.

Wow once again cool vid Eddy and Cindy. This place looks fun thanks for sharing.

So glad we could share this fun place with you :)

Great Video watched it as soon as I saw it was released! Eddie you and Cindy were great to talk to and finally meet in person!

Awesome and we're happy to hear you enjoyed it. It was a real pleasure meeting you and your wife and I hope we get a chance to do it again soon :)

Thanks again for another great Video. :honey:

You bet! Part 2 is coming your way soon :thumb:

Looks like a hell of a first day! As always, great video! Your video quality and editing skills are awesome. Thank you!

Are those outerwears on the front springs of the gladiator? Are they to protect the shock shafts?

Essentially, yes. Spring bags or covers prevent dirt, sand, and debris from wearing down shock components.

I think those only come on Sport S Gladiators with the max tow package. They come with Rubicon width axles and so they provide a bit more coverage.

Glad you liked it and as I say in the video, that's just the easy stuff

So awesome. Love this style of video. Makes me want to go buy a Jeep and go wheeling. Oops that already happened. Gladiator maybe?

Did you see that guys tie rod at 15:32. Looks like his PSC was bending it forward. Iíve never seen that. Is that normal?

LOL - what you're seeing is the old Synergy tie-rod flop. It's funny looking but fine. Fortunately, the JL tie-rod comes with a single plane TRE on one side to prevent this.

I had the same reaction you would expect from seeing someoneís arm break and bend in the wrong direction. ďI donít think itís supposed to do thatĒ
