Common problem on all Wranglers. When you have a top that opens up, doors that come off and a windshield that folds down and all meet up at one point, it's hard to get it to seal well. I would double check to make sure that the foam and rubber seals on the top aren't bent or folded and try to reseat it better.

My '07 had the same leak due to a combination of problems: 1) seal was worn and 2) soft top header was warped on the driver's side. I replaced the seal, which minimized the leak, but ultimately went with a new top due to the warped header/old soft top in general.

I add foam weather striping to my door surrounds and the leaking stopped.

Any body have this same problem?

This might seen counter intuitive but try not tightening the two thumb screws as much. When they are reefed down they pull the inboard rear corners tight but lift the outboard front corners creating a leak. it worked on mine. its fine balance. A buddy of mine doesn't even use is thumb screws.

Hope this helps

EDIT: Just noticed that this was for a soft top.......... disregard everything I said, getting old sux
