Trailoring a jk???

Do you guys leave the jk in park or neutral when strapped to a trailor?

I've heard you can do damage to the gears leaving it in park...

I've not heard of that one before but then again, I drive my Jeep everywhere and have never flat towed a Jeep before.

I don't see how it can damage the jeep being in park. It's not like the jeep will be rolling back an forth on the trailer.

If your jeep is on a trailer it should be tied good enough that it doesn't move much. My buddies always trailer their Jeeps to CO. They attached the tie downs to the frame and trailer. Then tighten it up enough it won't move. Also roll with the E-brake on and typically in first.

Edit: The straps you see going in the door of the white Jeep is the slack from the ratchet straps.

I pull the e-brake, leave it in neutral, strap it down then throw it in park. I also run the straps to the axles for the best lockdown! And in the pic its not strapped down fully but you should get axle straps! (Shown on the rear axle) Best investment for trailering!!
