Tie rod question

Caught the Bug
Quick question for ya guys. Was working on the Jeep a couple days ago and noticed my tie rod seems beefier than what stock should be. It's also a hell of a lot shinier than the rest of my steering linkage. Any thoughts?

Edit: I typed this thinking I had pictures of it. Evidently I don't. Hold your horses until tonight and I'll get pictures up.

If you find a part number, you might find out the previous owner installed one intended for a Cherokee or a Grand Cherokee.

Hard to tell, but it looks like an old Rock Krawler aluminum tie rod using factory TREs. I had one years ago, but I don't recall having wrench flats with my RK aluminum tie rod. I think it was part of their "pro" series at the time (circa 2012).
So in translation is this a good thing?
