Dcbjk's build thread and picture diary of D-day 2.0

Thank you for sharing the link its something I'm gonna look into next, along with my C's.

Hopefully when I get some time I'm gonna try and take some good pics so everybody can see what I'm seeing maybe that'll bring about some more input.
No problem. Good luck. It might not be the cause but was for whatever wobble I had. I couldn't drive over 35-40mph without my jeep shaking to the point of it feeling like it's falling apart. I was about 2/8 or 3/8 too much toe in and now I drive without my steering stabilizer and love it.

I heard that man I really hope it works this mess out

So along with our little girl coming to the world last week and becoming a Daddy.
Loving it by the way can’t believe we have our own little Wayalifer to raise.
I’ve been thinking about what shock upgrade I wanted to do for D-day.
Money isn’t an option I’m willing to wait and save cause it’s worth saving for the best.
So I’m stuck between
King 2.0s
Fox 2.0s with or without reservoir and the
Rancho 9000xl
I know that ride quality is completely subjective so all I’m looking for is everybody’s experiences
Thank you in advance

As you said, ride is subjective... I'm sure no one will dispute that Kings are the "best" but it really depends on what you're doing.

Personally, I've been really happy with my 9000XLs, but if I had the cash, I'd probably get adjustable Kings.

David, congratulations! You will get to sleep again next year... ok a couple months. Anyway I run Fox shocks and to be completely honest they are stiff if your just putting around. The faster you go the softer they get. But I have a 2 door that doesn’t ride as well as a 4 door to begin with either.

The adjustability really helps in the 2 door. It's nice to be able to tune for weight and terrain.

I heard that yes the kings seem nice I’ve been seeing if there were any differences in the way they were built compared to foxes it truly is a hard decision sometimes

Thanks bud loving it. I really like having adjustability and one thing that stick out to me was the King 2.0 were still adjustable with the use of simple hand tools which was something I didn’t see with the foxes or ranchos unless you got the adjuster knob

So after many attempts to correct my toe D-day my tie rod adjuster piece will not budge loose after being soaked in wd40 and PB blaster I don’t know what to do but put a pipe wrench on it

I didn’t think the factory one was adjustable?

I hope it is cause my toe is terribly off by 1/2 inch

Factory is adjustable. They just rust and seize up quickly. Best thing is to use some heat on it honestly especially if it gets so stuck that pb doesn’t work. If you wanna keep trying the pb make sure you take a huge hammer to it as well to try and break the rust free then use the giant pipe for extra leverage. If all else fails, heat the bitch up

Roger that sounds like the next game plan

Mine was hard to turn also. I used a vice grip and a lot of pb blaster and it eventually turned. I had a stabilizer bracket on that end of the tie rod that I had to remove also because it was preventing it from moving, but you won't have that unless you have a dual stabilizer.

Congrats on the kiddo! [emoji322] [emoji322]

I've never had any of those shocks, so I'm no help. Also, I hate rust so I live in Arizona! [emoji16]
