I shot 3 light coats of self etching primer next will be mopar color matched tan on the spider and black around the spider. I figured rattle can would be my best option since it'll see a beating and it will be easy to touch up.

Use Mikes offroad tip on greasing the thing up before painting. I think it was in my build thread. Seemed a lot easier then taping it off.
Mike, I seen that in your thread but after talking to a buddy that use to do automotive painting he suggested using Glad press and seal kitchen wrap. After the spider is painted I'll use the wrap and cut around the spider then apply the black. I'll let everyone know how it works out.
