Drag link flip

Right... makes sense.... but if you were in a bind and need a new one to get home... you could throw a stock draglink end on and flip it back in the bottom position until you get an EVO replacement.... correct?
Yep you just need to move the tapered insert to the bottom. You could do this permanently as well if ever removing the flip for whatever reason.

Not sure that retaining the factory components makes the kit blow. I can say for myself I've had it on for 6.5 years with no issues. As I recall there are others who wheel a lot harder than I do who also are reusing the factory stuff with no issues. I agree bolting the track bar bracket to the axle is a pain in the ass, but the EVO kit can be welded as well.

Yeah that was the wrong word lol. I mainly meant that the factory ends aren't greaseable, should have been more specific. Yeah with hydro assist I could see the stock DL lasting a while.

Get a kit that replaces the whole drag link Steer Smarts, .... Teraflex....., whatever...

Personally I wouldn’t take advice from anybody who recommends Steer Smarts or Teraflex, but that’s just me.

Why? Both are reputable companies...

Lol. Steer Smarts and Teraflex are far from reputable. 'Reputable' is the last thing that comes to mind to me with either of those companies:

Lol steer smarts came on here to pimp their shit with their stupid attenuators bullshit clearly in violation of the rules, if memory serves me correct. And terrorflex is just an all around crappy company with terrible part quality and even worse customer service.

I’ve seen the Steersmarts thread and personally own both Teraflex and Steersmarts products. I used both their customer service features as well without issues. Every company has issues but I don’t think it’s fair to completely say they’re terrible because of that. Just want to make sure the OP understands that although there might be “better” options there nothing wrong with those companies.

In addition, I’m all for US made products but even some new JL parts are made in China. I think we can all agree just because it’s made in the US doesn’t mean it’s better. You can barely find any hand tools made in the US anymore.

You've read the thread and still feel there's nothing wrong with that company, huh?
I guess if you want to purchase products from a company that is disrespectful and unethical and then plays dumb about it, better that they get your money than mine.

Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Not sure how somebody can give their money to a company like that, especially with sub par products, and feel good about it.

All good brother.. I kind of liked that Seahawk green:thumb:

Cool new aviator, but I think your rock lights are pretty bad ass.

Thanks! I got them just for novelty since you can change the color via bluetooth, but I have found myself using the white setting (which is more like a very very very light pink but close enough) on the trails. I mostly bought them to be festive lol. I have a total of 10 LEDs. One in each fender, one under each bumper, two half way down the jeep above the rock sliders, and two in the grill, wired to two different control modules so that I can set them to two different settings. At Christmas time I run the green under the Jeep with red in the grille. And on Fourth of July I ran them like this:

Actually, there's plenty wrong with those companies. You simply have chosen not to acknowledge them.

Caught the Bug
I've installed two EVO flip kits so far. I don't like the mess of bolts on the bolt on bracket. I ended up having a welder cut off the track bar mount and weld in the synergy track bar bracket. Then get a RHD drag link and you only need to buy the insert/hardware for the drilled out knuckle. It's cleaner, stronger, and lets you mount a steering ram. You don't even have to remove the drag link end off the pitman arm, just screw the new link in.

Drilling the knuckle was a piece of cake. Get the bit off amazon for $9. The key is to have cutting oil and apply often. Spin the drill SLOW. You should be getting metal chips, not metal dust. If you see smoke, stop and cool the bit.
