What was done to your rig this week?

I conveniently had a PSC big bore box at home in the shed that I was waiting to send out to be ported for Hydro. So that was very useful sooner than I’d hoped lol

Yeah, that was convenient. I kept my OEM gear after upgrading just Incase I or someone needed one in a pinch. I’ve debated trying to pack it on trips, but I haven’t ever been too far were I couldn’t get it in a day if I had too.

Good choice. Those inserts don’t help cooling. Doesn’t seem like much. But the airflow tolerances on Jeeps are tight.

It did try to run a little warm going up a long mountain climb on the interstate loaded with A/c the on. My bumper/ winch setup really don’t help either. Maybe it will help some. Headed to Moab Thursday afternoon, it’s a long haul from Alabama.

Added a camera to the front bumper in hopes of helping me see what's in front of me while crawling. 20190710_070928.jpg 20190710_063046.jpg

Lately I’ve been smelling antifreeze but never noticed any leak. I thought maybe my back flow canister was leaking. As a precaution before the the big trip, I had my mechanic look at it. He found a tiny pin hole leak near the top of the core. Glad he found it before my 2200 mile trek to Moab.

Was it on the driver side of the radiator?

Redknight15, MattMc, and me are headed to Moab too! Our trips are right around 2000 miles +/-. I had the same issue as well, plus my PSC hose fittings at the pump decided to start leaking. Got things fixed I hope. We will be at the Moab KOA on Sunday! Stop by if you have the time. Looks like we picked a good week; it will only be 100 - 103* F!!!

I’m leaving on the 19th and I’ll be Ouray CO first. I’ll be in Moab on the 26th. I’ll stop by and say hi if you’re still there.
