I still can't wrap my head around how people get offended and hurt even if they are "thick skinned" by what happens or what people say on the internet..

We have a whole generation who is offended by mere thoughts.

I don't think they teach kids "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me" anymore.

We have a generation that has never really had any type of real hardship to work through so mean words are the worst they've ever experienced.

Bit different than what you mean, My soon to be brother in-law managers a large staff for food/beverage at a large resort and they can't reopen the majority of their restaurants/bars cause they can't get people to come work and get off the bonus unemployment. Easy to sit at home and collect a check
Nope. When blue collar work is abundant it definitely tells the story.

Yeah Trump pointed that out and got blasted for it. There is no reason you should be getting more money for doing nothing than you did working. It should have capped out at their monthly income.

The relicts in government can't even figure this out. Or they just don't give a fuck.
This is such an easy fix. Employers notify unemployment that said employee was notified he/she could return to work but declined to return. Unemployment benefits canceled on date business notified former employee. So if they were payed anything after that date they would have to repay.

That's a very easy fix, you'd think. Isn't that how unemployment used to work?

^^^ This - if you’ve been notified to return to work and refuse, the employer has the right to block benefits and terminate the employee; at least in Wisconsin.

SC is an at will state on both sides. As long as it’s not based on obvious things like sexuality, gender, race.

Hard for an employee to really say what it was based on. You could lawyer up but probably easier to just find another job.

I don’t blame the younger generation, I blame that generation’s parents.

I concur. I'd add that, because both parents typically have to work to finance a family nowadays, it doesn't help that institutions have been raising kids for the past 20-30 years.

Because social media has given the unnecessarily indignant twats of the world an avenue to spew their opinions and feelings. Twitter in particular.

This thread itself seems like evidence that people get offended by stuff on the internet. [emoji23]
