Totally just joking around with you. If you like it, own it. Don't let our opinions sway you.

Though, something misrepresenting like that is always gonna be a tough sell that you'll get ribbed about on this forum. Too many experienced and knowledgable Jeepers here to let it slide.

Personally, some of the best builds I've seen started as stock Sports. I would build it up at your own pace and let it speak for itself!

Yeah, this P.O.S. started as a Sahara

Another big thank you to this great forum! I finally buttoned up my CB install. I used several ideas that I picked up here and in the end I am very happy with the result.

Close up of the mount idea I picked up here from the forum:

I applied some industrial Velcro to the top rear of the CB and to the plastic above the windshield.
It didn't want to stick so I put several rivets into the stiff side of the Velcro attached to the plastic panel.
Nice and solid now. No movement at all.

I settled on this location and mount for my Firestik II. Grabbed a quick disconnect and a tune from my local CB shop.

I had to trim a little metal behind the mount with my dremel tool to make it work but it wasn't hard.

Ran the coax through this plug behind the tail light and up through the roll bar padding to the windshield.

Again, thanks to Eddie's tech article and tips/ideas from several others here on the forum. 

Took some time to give Moby a manicure today. Filing down some of the rough edges...

And now, applying a little color...

Put on xrc front fenders and rock rails. Next is the rear corner guards.

Finally put my back seats back in my JKU after spraying the tub like.. a year ago.

They smell funny after sitting in a garage for a year.

That looks real clean. Was that the original cover plate for that space, or did you make it?

Made it from some scrap aluminum at work. Molded it on a spray can for the contour. Used a step bit for the holes and 2 part epoxy to mount it on the cubby insert. I can remove the switches, relay and power wire and replace the cubby insert if I change JK's.

I checked the status of my BFG KM2 order and the delivery date slipped yet again. If BFG wants to sell their 37s they need to make the damn things! I ended up canceling my order and buying MTR/Ks while I was at a buddy's shop for the post lift alignment, (which I nailed with Eddie's write-up and a tape measure! No adjustments needed and I even replaced the tie rod). If I can't get them now how will I ever replace a failed tire should one happen? At least Goodyear stocks the MTR/Ks...

The result was my little Jeep grew up this week  The Genright carrier I purchased from Northridge should be here in the next week or so, so look for that update soon!

Looks really good buddy. If I didn't already have the Slabs, I'd consider keeping my stock wheels and doing the same as you.
