I am finding that the yearly prime subscription was worth it, I bet it paid for itself in my first three purchases.

We get stuff at least once a week from amazon. Just avoiding having to go to the store or mall makes it worth it.

When they were talking about moving Prime to $99 or $109 a year a couple of months ago I still thought it was a great deal.

So you guys think it's worth it? I don't order a lot from them but did 2 orders the other day, and one I needed was a rush and paid way too much for 2 day shipping.

So I think I paid $79(?), and at first I was a bit skeptical too. But check this out, early last year I was searching for a pair of shoes on Zappos.com and they didn't have what I wanted in size or color. I decided to check Amazon out for the shoes and not only did they have them, but also a metric shit ton more of different colors that I did not even know existed. Since then I check Amazon first for everything, tools, jeep parts, whatever. I bought my half doors and uppers on Amazon like MTG and saved a bunch of cash, I go through at least one or two door mirrors on EVOJEEP every year.....Amazon has them cheap. Because of my line of work, I go through technical outdoor clothes really quick so I am always buying gear from Salomon, Mammut, Mountain Hardwear, Outdoor Research and Amazon always has it. The turn around time on Prime purchases is awesome.

^this!

Plus when we need something but it seems like too much of a pain to go to the store...jump on amazon and 2 days later (sometimes the next day) it's there. Presto blamo!

I don't even want to know how much we spend at amazon, but it sure is convenient. Maybe too convenient really?

We even order groceries off of it sometimes! Plus you can ship to any address, so when we go on vacation, we can ship anything ahead we want.

Yep. Got a case of coconut milk tonight. We buy Christmas and birthday gifts and have it shipped directly to the recipient. I've seen they carry wine now too. Haven't compared prices, but that looks interesting too.

Threw the doors and uppers on last night.

Need to fit them better still but wanted to try them out.

Two things:
- your uppers fit better than mine do
- I certainly expect you to fill those nice oval recessions on the doors with the supplied, super awesome, Rugged Ridge emblems.

1 yours must fit really bad! These will be better once I get the doors fitted properly and bend the metal on the uppers. Funny I was thinking I'd have to do that and then bothered to read the instructions and they say you need to.

2. No way. I've been hanging on to these for 2+ years.

Yes, mine don't really seal at all at the top. And yes again, the mfg's instructions on the precise fitting and aligning of the uppers was exceptionally technical.....

I see that lesser minds of smaller than average size think alike.....

It's as though the King sticker was meant for that spot

Yep! The passenger side cowl is still jacked up from the Florence Junction, AZ run that the 'famous' Wayalife film captured my damage in real time.

Here is some obscure, not cared about EVOJEEP hood damage history, but I will also include some facts about MTG's rig 'Knuckles' so as to not highjack his thread completely......

April 2012: hood is damage in Florence Junction

image-556699652.jpg

August 2012: I get a new (used) hood gifted to me from some friends for the 2012 JKX. All is well

image-321033739.jpg

MTG was also a participant in the 2012 JK Experience, he took this picture and his jeep is in it (see what I just did there?)

image-3144995810.jpg

January 2013: prerunning for King of the Hammers race with Mel Wade (Off Road Evolution) and Jim McGean (Dynatrac Axles), I flop my jeep, ruining my new (used) hood.

image-1544244824.jpg

Same prerunning weekend that I flopped my rig, the other vehicle running with me that day was the Dynatrac 2 door JK.......recognize the hood he is running? It's my old hood from Florence Junction, and is still in better shape than my current hood in the photo above. I keep wanting to regift it to back to me....

That takes the cowl dimple to a new level.

It's in the details, you know the little things in life that when it comes down to it, really matter. It's not just about big picture things like "what is the minimum lift needed to run 35" tires".....or "should I do a 2.5" lift and a Budget Boost???"......or "do I really need C gussets and a 1310 front driveshaft before I go off roading??" I like micro as opposed to macro :icon_crazy:
