So did they decide to have them bypass Jackhammer or were they able to clear the issue?

Right before I turned it off (leaving work) they were talking about a detour to bypass it.

The bypass is for third lap vehicles as I understand. If you are in the second lap you still have to do jackhammer.

They were showing Mel and Greg in the jackhammer traffic jam. I think Greg was pulling winch line and a pretty good size rock got launched from the car in front of them (around 10:03 on the drv). If it did not hit Greg it was pretty damn close. ouch!
