I've driven a portion of Henness pass road through the Sierras to Reno. On the map it looks like it goes from the ocean to Nevada. Is that correct? and is it dirt the whole time?

We had an awesome time on this journey and learned so much about the emigrant's struggles thru Nevada and over the Sierras along the California trail by actually traveling the same tracks they did back in the 1850s. So glad we were making the trip in air conditioned Jeeps rather than walking along a wagon the whole way! A BIG THANKS to Eddie and Cindy for organizing this run and for inviting us all along for the fun! Thanks also to Stephanie for her work arranging dinners and lodging for us. And last - thanks to everyone else on the run for making it such fun. Can't wait for the next time...... Naomi & Russ
