Show off your tents

Bingo. My 4-door makes it a lot easier to setup (more room). The photo is a 2-door model so they used the slack of the ENO to tie it up. Either way it works great. Let's you sleep with your Jeep whenever you want!

Oh my God that is genius! Great idea now I really want one haha where do you have it tied off in the front? Around the roll bar close to the windshield? Freakin awesome haha

Kenny, get the ENO with the PRO slapstraps and it takes no-more-than 2.7 seconds to put up. It's so easy a caveman could do it. We hang ours inside the jeep sometimes or just park next to a tree. If you are with friends you can hang it from both jeeps. When I road trip I will sometimes sleep in the jeep to save money this way.

Edit: not my jeep in the photo. just demonstrating the idea.

Yeah that pic is what originally got me into their stuff and I haven't really wanted to pull the trigger yet because I usually wheel alone or when I do go with people we dont stop and bs long enough to tie a few together or whatever but with Ray's idea now I can camp and not need a small tent lol

I'll see if I can't find some pics of the tents we've used and are still using. What I can tell you is that we prefer a tent that is on the smaller side as it will do a better job of insulating and be more resistant to wind. Ideally, a tent that is one person bigger than what you need will make life pretty comfortable. For instance, it's just Cindy and I and so we typically get a tent that is made for 3 people. Being that you will be keeping your dog with you, this will be even better. Kelty and REI both make great tents and I would recommend either. While they are stronger, tents that require you to shove poles into a sleeve will make setup and take down a lot harder. A good 3 season tent with clips and fewer poles will always make things easier to deal with.

Have the Kelty trail ridge 3. Awesome tent.

Show us your tents!

What tent are you camping in when you get to these amazing places our jeeps take us! I just a black wolf bushranger double swag. Amazing swag, so comfy, and great ventilation, only down side is its a little large for the back of the shorty. ImageUploadedByWAYALIFE1437915302.813326.jpg

My wife and I have a Coleman 6 person instant tent.
It's the perfect size for both of us, our two border collies and our gear.

Pros:
It goes up extremely quick.
Fits cross wise in the back of a JKUR (haven't tried to fit it in her JKR)
I can stand up fully in it (I'm 6'0")
Fits a queen size air mattress, both of us and our two dogs without the dogs sleeping on our bed, our indoor propane heater, our packs, and misc other gear.

Cons:
Does not fold up and go back into bag nearly as easily as it goes up. Think about how you fold up and put a camp chair back in a bag. This is pretty much the same, only much larger.
Definitely not a pack tent because of it's size and weight. I think it is about four feet long when packed.
I've heard they leak without a rain fly, but I've never used it in the rain without a rain fly.
It does not have a covered entry like most other tents of this size.
