DOUBLE SHIFT : A Rough Day at the Office

It's hard to believe that it was just last Wednesday that Cindy and I were out playing in knee deep powder and just like that, it's all gone again. In fact, it's so nice out that we decide it was time to strip down Moby or at least, pull the windows off so that we could enjoy the sun a little better and the nice warm weather it brings. Of course, being that Monday is the start of the work week, we even decided to head out to the office and push ourselves by working a double shift. In other words, we ran two trails instead of just one. Here are a few pics from the rough day we had work

Pulling up to our first shift of the day.

Things were rough right from the get go but nothing Moby couldn't handle with ease.

As the morning progressed, we hit another small bump that needed to be crossed.
main.php

Just before noon, we came across an issue that required us to be a bit more flexible on.

And, just after we overcame that issue, we came across another.

As it would seem, we wouldn't be able to finish our first shift without having to really work for it.

But, with this final hurdle, we could finally leave the office and take a break.

After a nice leisurely stroll to the north, we took a break, had a snack and got ready to start our second shift of the day.

main.php

As you can see, work started off nice and easy.
main.php

We probably should of had a proper lunch because before we knew it, we found ourselves feeling a bit hungry for some ham or bacon.
main.php

Maybe with a bit of swiss cheese.
main.php

And some ketchup and mustard.
main.php

But, it was no time to be daydreaming - work was just about to get rough again.
main.php

Just easing on into it just to feel things out.

Looks like things are about to get rougher.

We finally came upon a challenge that would require us to take things one step at a time.
main.php

Again, we also had to be flexible to get through it.

And before we knew it, we finished things up.

Onto the next task at hand.

Taking a break by the water cooler.
main.php

Still had ways to go before the end of the day.
main.php

And it was going to take some effort to get through it.

Out from under the shadow of work and with the toughest jobs behind us.

But, it was still going to be an upward climb till the end of the day.

Looking back, it wasn't such a terrible place to work.
main.php

The final stretch.
main.php

Maybe it was our concern of job security but as we neared the end of our day, we couldn't help but feel a bit off balanced and exposed.

Getting ready to clock out.

What the end of a great day at work looks like.

Heading on home.

I hope you enjoyed following us along as we took on a double shift at work this past Monday. Without question, it's a tough job but someone's gotta do it.

Great pics. I know a place with a similar "pig rock" that is a popular climbing area. Judging by the rest of the pics though, it might be a different rock.

Oh, I intend to send your office a cease and desist tomorrow because I'm jealous. ;)

I am glad to see someone else working extra long hours on a Monday

Every time you post photos of your runs I feel like I was there.

Much appreciated and keep working hard!

My goodness, to have a job like that....

For some reason slugging it out with Crack dealers, drunks, and other assorted scum of the earth just is not as much fun.

Where do I send my application?
