So slight change in plans and the axles are going for sale. I bought them for my JK, and they are stock, but complete.

Front 1989 Ford Dana 60 with the desirable kingpin configuration, complete rotor to rotor, in great shape. Gears are wither 3.73 or 4.10's, I was going to regear anyway.

rear is the heavier duty 14 bolt full floater also no idea on gears, likely 3.73 or 4.10 (may be 4.56). also complete and also bought some extras, like disc brake conversion brackets and other misc parts.

Axles are located in the Tahoe area this week, but bringing to the Bay Area next week.

These are beef and ready to be built. Looking for $1500 for the pair. as far as trades, I am looking for 40" tires and 8 lug beadlock wheels so open for possible or partial trades.

Any questions, let me know, I will post up pics shortly.

Thanks,

Gui

Dang to bad you aren't closer. Buddy of mine down the street is looking for a kingpin and this would be perfect. Good luck with the sale.

What bolt pattern 8 lug rims are you looking for and are you dead set on beadlocks?

Thanks, I am willing to ship if he is interested. Fastenal and Forwardair do fairly cheap shipping in the US, I estimate a couple hundred bucks per axle as I have shipped to and form NY and TX before heavy parts.

Thanks, am looking for 17" 8 lug rims, ideally beadlocks, but open as I may end up having a daily driver and a trail only set. Let me know what you got thanks! Pattern will be 8 on 6.5 (standard Chevy pattern)

It took me a while to find a nice kingpin setup that is complete and has not been beat up,so hopefully it helps someone here before I end up listing on CL.

thanks!

Evil, thanks! I woudl have taken them if I was doing SD axles, they are pretty cool wheels. I am going to run another set of tons 8 on 6.5.

Thanks!

Off topic but what axles are you going with now? I was looking forward to you building these.

Thanks, I am going to run pretty similar axles, 79 Ford front kingpin, and 14 bolt rear. I had started ordering parts for these axles but have a bud that has his axles close to ready with the same parts I was going to put on these puppies (detroits and 5.38's). On the plus side is that it will let me speed up the install; I was planning to build the axles over the Summer and do the Swap in the Fall, but getting his axles sooner may make it possible for a Summer swap :)

Grubbi, thanks, standard GM and older ford\dodge 8 lugs, 8 on 6.5. BTW I am definitely checking on your thread for my swap!

I wish I had stuck with building these axles as the 89 seems like a much easier fit on teh JK than the 79, but now am committed lol :)

What exactly is the difference between the 89 and the 79? Im assuming width is the biggest difference.

Grubbi, same length\width. the only difference is the position of teh pumpkin on the driver's side. The 89 is the sweet spot with the pumpkin more towards the knuckle (3" tube width on the driver's side)

The 14 bolt is full width (I believe 67-68" WMS). You can make it narrower (63") very easily by swapping the hubs to Cab and chassis hubs, what is a bolt on approach (no cutting or welding needed), keeps stock shaft length etc. This 14 bolt is teh heavier duty more desirable one with the ribbing at the bottom.
