3 or 4 Beer Overhead CB mount

Sorry guys, didnt know whether to post here or on the Pub. Got my honey do's done today and had some scrap metal laying around and a fridge full of cold ones. Here's my redneck overhead 4 beer cb mount. (It took 4 from concept to almost complete except for paint). Mind you it was in the mid 50's today, so if you tackle this over the summer it may just take a few more. Pretty basic stuff, not really normal JK tech quality. Any wise ass comments welcome, just having fun.

Looks great to me. Out of the way, functional and cheap. How do you like that radio? I was looking at Uniden, but Im going to mount it in my dash. Like this!

The radio is ok for what Im doing, short distance stuff. Havent really used it much, kind of a starter radio. The price was right, got it cheap at Fry's. The in dash mount is definitely sweet.

Got any more scrap metal? I have looking for a way to mount mine up there till I get a sport cage.

Ive got more of this 3/4" sq. tube. plus some 3/4 flat I cut from another bracket and drilled and tapped.

Shoot me a pic of your CB bracket with tape meadure for width. You looking for same mount location? I may have time tomorrow to put another one together.

Go to home depot and mount it like this. Parts are like $3 and it holds up great.

I've seen this and it's very cool. I run the hardtop most the time and looked for a way to mount and tighten the bracket from inside with the top on with easy access. Plus I just used stuff I had laying around in the garage. Cheers.
