I've had mine for a month or so, and couldn't be happier. It's super quick to take off when you need to use it. My buddies were skeptical when they saw it, but when we needed it, mine came off quick and easy. They were quite impressed. It's actually very solid, and doesn't rattle or bounce around. The only con I've heard about is that the paint can be damaged by the part that presses against the fender. To fix this, they have started sending a small clear 3m sticker that is placed where it contacts the body. For extra protection, I added a felt pad to it also.

When I'm not on the trails, I remove my jack to keep it out of the elements. But that's up to you.

The lock is a great feature. It's easy to key it for your jeep key which is super convenient. It seems very secure.

There seems to be a lot of negativity about this mount, but mostly from people that haven't used it. To be honest, I was a little skeptical when o bought it too. But after the first time on the trail, I was convinced I made the right choice. I highly recommend it.

That looks nice. Thanks for your pros and cons. If I end up getting it, I will add a felt pad also. Probably won't be driving around with the jack on the mount while in the city.

I've been on a few trails and just hoped I didn't get a flat or stuck since I've been the only Jeep out when I've gone. Only place I didn't really worry too much was when I went to Anza-Borrego desert. I was like if I get a flat or stuck in this thick sand here, I can eventually get help from someone passing by since the place was full of off road toys. At least I would hope someone would help. [emoji3]

Had to use mine once on the trail before, I'm sure we could have figured out something else to get the tire off the ground if we didn't have it but it was convenient at the time, I'd carry one again if I had a spot for it on my new jeep

A Hi-Lift jack is the WRONG tool to use to change a tire and I would NOT recommend using one.

Even with a leaf sprung rig, you still have to lift it dangerously high in order to get the tire off the ground to change it. This is of course because the spring has to completely unload before the axle will begin to lift. The smarter and safer thing to use is a good bottle jack as it will lift from the axle and you only need to go up as high as you need to remove the tire. Also, a bottle jack holding up a Jeep from the axle will be MUCH more stable than a tall Hi-Lift holding the entire corner of a Jeep up at the rocker guard and with the axle dangling below.

That thing would not last 10 minutes on anything more than a dirt road which you posted pictures of. I've already damaged my body from the mirror, last thing I want to do is add more shit to the side to hit.

i've got this system as well and it's neat, you can take the roof off & on with no worries. it's not easy access because of the bolts but if you can put a quick release thing there it would be awesome, you just have to worry about sand or mud inside your jeep after using it
