Anyone up for a fender mod party??(SoCal Area)

Sundays generally work better for me. Just checked with the wife and I'm open for the 14th. So I can come help. Will be cool as some day ill want to do mine.

For those that know/have done, a tools list would be cool. That way I can bring what I have for other to use this time around.

I am chopping yours!

I'm booked for the next 3 weekends but if something happens and I can go ill show up how do you think it will look chopped fenders with stock tires? Funny or not? Thinking if I should wait till the big tires what do you guys think

You saw mine with Bushwackers and stocks. I don't think it looks bad at all.

I'm a rookie but from what i know....dremel(or saw), metal sander, door trim, jokes, beer, food, positive attitude. :thumb::D

I just did this mod on mine. It would have been more fun to do it with friends and beer, but the lines probably wouldnt have turned out so well  Not being 12 degrees outside would have also been nice :icon_crazy: I went with the same lines as the WAL writeup. Its too sexy of a cut, IMHO, to pass up! Post pics of the shenanigans and end results!

WAL Write up?? Where can I find this?? I wanna see.....

I made a video of my install but havent edited it yet. this is what I recall using(ill edit this post if I think of more)

Painters or masking tape(duck will leave residue that will create another step in cleanup)
flexible measuring tape. (I didnt have one so I made one by marking a piece of ribbon with permanent marker on a yard stick)
I used a 3" pneumatic cutting wheel for the majority of the cutting and a small pneumatic saw tool for the tight spaces
sanding block
white paint pen(or something to mark your lines to trim the front inner fender lining
zip ties to secure the lower inner liner to the body
trim molding to make it pretty

When I used a cut off wheel, which moves a lot of material quickly, and it still took me quite a while. I am a little anal about perfection but if I would have used a dremel, I think it would have taken forever! Doable...sure, but quite a long job :twocents:
