My life with a Brick

While getting a tire fixed on my work van I noticed a display with ATX wheels. I asked if they had any hub rings for a jeep with slabs and he was nice enough to call someone and they discussed what I'd need. He sold me a set for $10.00

I know they are not necessary but they are cheap so if anyone wondered these are the part numbers

Edit: he said "you don't drive those on the road do you?" I said no?while shaking my head yes!

What's the benefit to hub rings?

As mentioned, once the lug nuts are torqued properly they should keep the wheel centered.

IMO hub rings, by filling the empty space between wheel bore and hub, help spread some of the wheel spin/load forces back onto the hub and not just on the lug bolts.

Also, if any of the lug nuts loosen, the hub spacer will keep the wheel centered instead of allowing it move on the lug stud bolts.

Honestly there probably is no real reason to have them since once your lug nuts are torqued down they should spin true anyways

I thought the bore on the slabs was larger than 78? maybe it was only the Chamber Pro II that had the larger wheel bore.

The company he called gave him two different dimensions and he had the one set in stock so I figured for $10 I wasn't out much if they were too small but they fit. The one that fit was 78.3 and the other choice was 86.1, maybe that is what yours are?

yes, the Chambers were 86.1

I've found the spacer makes lining up the stud bolts easier - I need all the help I can get when putting those 37's back on lol

Finished (improved) the garage door opener mod today. I had velcro’d the opener beside the dash panel that comes off but it wouldn’t work there without the door open and the panel off so I moved it up to inside the top corner trim.

Button is under the dash
Then I added a power source for the upcoming cb radio install

This was a kit from Qtec since I’m a total clown at wiring. Hopefully it works well

Well my garage door opener mod still doesn’t work. I first used Velcro to attach it behind the side panel of the dash but it wouldn’t open the door. I had my buddy make the wire 30” longer and put it up in the trim above the corner of the a pillar. Now with the top on it still doesn’t work. Where does the opener need to be to work?

That’s odd, it should work just fine. I can open my garage form inside my condo. I am on a 3rd Florek with 2 concrete decks and bunch off walls on the path to the receiver. I think is should work just fine mounted under the pillar panel
