Always wondered - Does the WJ ride as nice as the JK with the lift?

No, lol. I went with an entry level Zone kit. It's tolerable and it worked for when I started. The shock bushings failed within 1000 miles and I had to fight to get the 5 dollar bushings replaced. During the process I realized that this would just happen again, so I swapped out the shocks entirely. The Zone control arm bushings on one arm failed not too long after that, I've since upgraded the arms with JJ styles. I've replaced just about every part of the kit other than the springs and the rear sway bar links.

As of recently, I've noticed the front of the WJ really swaying/rolling over just about every bump. I really think it's the springs but I could be wrong. However, since putting the EVO springs on the JK, they are awesome. So after talking to some folks, I found that the new WJ IRO springs have a closer rate to the EVO ones, so I'm HOPING to achieve a similar ride to the JK. We shall see.

Yeah, live & learn I guess. My first lift was similar. Hope those springs work out well for you

That sucks. I would have thought that with Zone and BDS being the same company, the warranty would have been the same.
Weird that they are only willing to stand behind half their company. Won't be buying any Zone products.

No shit. It was 1000 miles. I had pictures of the mileage at install from a shop repair order and pictures of my odometer. They just said 'bushings aren't covered.' I fought it just because I didn't feel it was right. They eventually did say they would replace them, but like I said earlier, I realized 1000 miles later I would be dealing with the same thing. The other thing that sucked is they wouldn't ship them to my house, they said they had to be shipped to an authorized shop and that closest shop was 40 miles away. It happened on both sides so I knew the rubber was just cheap. Good thing they aren't in the condom business.

That is a cool color...howz the temps your way? My sister's family spent Thanksgiving with me in cold rainy WA while Denver was about 70 degrees...

Been in the 70s. I spent the last week in Flagstaff and Albuquerque, same there. Just been awesome weather lately. Even the trails are mostly dry up in the hills.

Those look amazing, what type of paint do you use?

That's a sharp color! How does the paint hold up once they're installed?

Holy shit those springs look awesome. :thumb:

Thanks, guys. Color is Rust-Oleum Cobalt Blue Metallic. I used it on my tie rod and drag link and it does hold up well as long as it is clear coated. Without the clear, I found it flaking off really easily. Since using clear coat, no issues.
