Presses on the axle seal, set the pinion preload and pinion nut torque. Welded on the hydraulic ram clamp feet. This axle is almost done, I think... I used an old bearing out race to press in the new seal. I was getting frustrated trying to tap it in with a hammer. It worked amazingly well.

Finally got a contact patch I'm happy with and still kept backlash in tolerance. View attachment 287248 now to press on the new bearings and set pinion bearing preload and torque the pinion nut. Happy to be almost done with the gears.

Didn't get a lot of time to work on the cj today. I at least took off both knuckles and drilled them to 23/32th then reamed them to 3/4. The reamed was too long so I had to take it out of the vise and setup on the table. Turned an already sketchy setup even sketchier. I made a couple 10° fixtures to get the holes to line up with the drill bit. And clamped the knuckles onto them.

I put the axle under the jeep, space is kinda limited here. Started to work on the cage again, made some pillars to tie into the windshield cross member. going to leave the knuckles off for now until oi can get the high steer arms finished.

I had a similar issue trying to get the new pinion seal installed on my Titan. Went to Lowe's and got a 2 to 3" abs pipe fitting. I could hot that and it worked well to get it started. I drove it as far as I could then used a 1/2" wooden dowel to seat it. That was an hour job which turned into a 4 hour one..haha

Did some work on the role cage. Started to fill below the passenger and driver windows. The passenger side tubes are made, one to go on the driver side when my hole saw gave out.

Finished cutting and notching tubing for the driver side put the knuckles on put the axle shafts I and the unit bearings on put the locking hubs in
